121 makes it easy to create and manage Keyword Thesauri, or File Plans, and Disposal Schedules within the Objective ECM system. Initially these structures may be created in a 121 Access database then uploaded, via the integration, to Objective ECM. Though Objective provide a transfer file structure for a Thesaurus there are no easy to use similar features for File Plans or Disposal Schedules, 121 resolves this problem using the direct connect integration capability.

Connecting to Objective via 121 Integration
For installations optioned with Objective Integration the Thesaurus and File Plan buttons will be displayed on the start up screen, in the line tagged Objective.
The RaDIUM button in this example accesses another optional product used to upload Disposal Schedule definitions from SRO specifications, allowing resolution of sentence statements into correctly defined Disposal Schedule triggers, into Objective.
Objective Keyword Thesauri are generally constructed using Keyword AAA, as the seed source, and are then modified to suit local requirements. With 121 it is an easy task to take an Access database copy of the base, or Agency customised, version of Keyword AAA and upload to Objective. The transferred terms and relationships may then be further managed via the integration to immediately modify terms, relationships, scope notes, etc. from the 121 screen.

Any changes made are immediately stored into the Objective database, via the Objective API.
121 integration requires that the Objective API and Web-Talk are configured for the installed Objective system. Objective have a special licence/price if the API is only for 121 use . For details ask your Objective representative.
Many RM Managers prefer to use a one to many File Plan rather than a Thesaurus and this is possible in Objective ECM by setting up custom Objects and Folder Fields. The extensive task of creating the required Folders to contain a File Plan is considerably simplified by 121 which uses a user defined mapping process to synchronise the Terms, Objects and Folder Fields automatically.
Creation of the custom Objects and Folder Fields still needs to be done manually, though we do hope API capabilities will be made available in the future so that we may make this an easier task for the user.
Mapping of the Objects and Folder Fields to Term levels and relationship items are all set up by an easy to use utility program. The utility maps multiple File Plans, with mutiple levels in each, and provides extension relationship mapping as well. Management of Disposal Schedules is made easy by extending, via the Objective API, the Objective screens into 121. New Schedules may be added and existing ones edited and updated immediately into Objective.
